The Gov’t gifted me failed e-test.

So there is visual inspection (aka BS). Appartly having both cats (& resonator) in place, with no muffler is a fail. Good thing the muffler in the trunk. Put it on & I’m good.

Update: muffler is back on, but super rusty. Might not pass due to rust.

Heh, before they killed off aircare here they just did an obdII scan and assuming no cel and all monitors ready, instant pass.

If cel, or monitors not ready, they’d put it on the rollers and sniff test it.

Mufflers aren’t emissions equipment, so they didn’t care if they were there or not. As it should be.

(Glad they killed aircare. Pointless cash grab, here anyway.)

I feel for you. It was easy to pass here without mufflers or cats. Spark plug anti-foulers on the rear sensors, just make sure all of the monitors were ready, and they’d never even pull out the mirror on a stick.
